Question: "Why are the Behringer mixers so cheap?"
Answer: If you mean "inexpensive" when you say cheap, it is because they are made in China. Now, before you start badmouthing China products, let us explain. Behringer was one of the very first companies in the Music Industry to move production to China. BPMmusic was a dealer for Behringer 8 or 10 years ago when this first took place. We were a bit skeptical and there was some problems early on. But now that they have been there for a number of years, they have gotten many of the problems worked out. Their quality has risen dramatically and every other manufacturer is scrambling to keep up. Many of these manufacturers are now experiencing the problems that Behringer had 6 or 7 years ago.
Question: "How is Behringers' warranty service?"
Answer: Behringer has one of the best warranty policies in the industry. Their "New for Old" (NFO) policy should help to lay your worries to rest. If a Behringer product suffers a breakdown in the first year of warranty all you have to do is take it to a participating Behringer dealer and exchange it for a new unit. The key here is "participating dealer." Not everyone is participating but more and more dealers are signing up every day. You might want to verify a dealers participation in the program before purchasing from them. We are happy to accept defective products within the warranty period and ship a new unit to you. You would have to pay the shipping charges to and from us unless you want to make a trip to beautiful Western Colorado to drop it off personally - for what some warranties cost you it might be worth your time to come see us. Anyway, the NFO is a wonderful way to take care of failed products within the warranty period.
